Overton, Kent come up big in a battle of pins against MacMurray College

Thursday, January 19th the Lincoln College wrestling team wrestled in a dual against MacMurray in Jacksonville, IL. The Lynx got a wake-up call winning their dual 30-29, with many lower weights falling short.
Tyree Overton, a Lincoln College returning all-American and currently ranked 5th, got the pin against his opponent Ron Evans in 2 minutes. Overton returned to the mat for the first time since breaking his thumb in early December 2016.
Mat Kent, A Lincoln College sophomore, who is ranked 6th, also pinned his opponent, Trevor Wilson in 5 minutes.
Next Thursday, January 26th the Lynx wrestling team will wrestle against Harper College in their last home dual of the season in the Lincoln Center at 7:00 PM.

Editors note: MacMurray forfeited 3 weight classes and Lincoln College forfeited 1 weight class. MacMurray had 3 pins & 1 technical pin while Lincoln College had 2 pins.
